Hello from Italy!

i bought my 1999 3l in the 2008 and now i reach 490.000km.

i mount and dismount lot of time the lil 3L for make lot of works and improvent. My car was an Hificar Sound Quality competition car and in the 2011 i was EMMA european vice champion in Nuremberg. Article of my 3L was on various international magazine from Finland to Brazil!!!

mechanically i have not really big problems... i change diy the 4 bearings, i change the bottom gear acuator cover for an oil leak, new suspension... relay 109... several basic setting and several time RTFM that i have always fixed myself!

I'm really happy of my 3L i think is a best buy! Now with 480K i dirve at 3.1 l/100km

Welcome to our forum, I am an SQ enthusiast myself and together with Arjen / atg we wrote a guide (http://3lvrienden.nl/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24) how folks can upgrade their sound system. I run a Sound System F-430 with Cdt eurosport fronts and a cdt 8" sub and I'm very happy with the sound. I test with an Emma competition cd to align my system. Would love to hear your set though.

News from weekend...

after few time that my lupo sometimes loose the 5th gear (but not in recovery mode) i open the gearbox cover!

and i found the needle bearing of the 5th gear syncro COMPLETELY DESTROYED!!!!

It's arriving today tha spare at vw shop!!!
